Ingredients:
1 whole chicken, 5 pounds, fresh/thawed
Lemon pepper seasoning of choice
Old Bay seasoning, or seasoning of choice
Wood pellets: Robust Blend for the Ninja Woodfire Outdoor Grill
Instructions:
- Use food shears to cut the backbone out of the chicken.
- Open and lay the chicken insides down.
- Press on the breast area, to break down the breast bone.
- Season the chicken.
- Put the chicken onto the Grill Plate, insides down.
- Set cooker to Smoker, 400° F., about 1 hour cooking time.
- Press Start, to begin cooking.
- You may use a meat probe to track temperature, and stop at 165° F. Or, the cooking time to completes.
- Check the meat temperature is at least 165° F.
- Allow the meat 5 minutes to rest and reabsorb juices.
- Enjoy!
