Spatchcock Chicken (Ninja Woodfire Outdoor Grill Recipe)


1 whole chicken, 5 pounds, fresh/thawed
Lemon pepper seasoning of choice
Old Bay seasoning, or seasoning of choice

Wood pellets: Robust Blend for the Ninja Woodfire Outdoor Grill


  1. Use food shears to cut the backbone out of the chicken.
  2. Open and lay the chicken insides down.
  3. Press on the breast area, to break down the breast bone.
  4. Season the chicken.
  5. Put the chicken onto the Grill Plate, insides down.
  6. Set cooker to Smoker, 400° F., about 1 hour cooking time.
  7. Press Start, to begin cooking.
  8. You may use a meat probe to track temperature, and stop at 165° F. Or, the cooking time to completes.
  9. Check the meat temperature is at least 165° F.
  10. Allow the meat 5 minutes to rest and reabsorb juices.
  11. Enjoy!
