Chocolate Cake (NuWave Primo Grill Oven Recipe)

Ingredients:

Box Cake Mix
Cooking Spray
Icing

Box Cake Mix usually requires other ingredients similar to the following:

1 1/4 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Oil
3 Large Eggs

Instructions:

  1. Mix the cake mix and other ingredients with a blender for a couple of minutes on medium speed.
  2. Place a silicone baking ring over the Grill Plate.
  3. Place the raised rack for the NuWave Primo Grill Oven into the NuWave Primo.

    (The raised rack and silicone baking ring are additional accessories.)
  4. Cover with the NuWave Primo Power Dome and Power Head.
  5. Set the Cook to 325° F., 50% Top/50% Bottom, 26 minutes cooking time.
  6. Press the Preheat button.
  7. Press the Start/Pause button.
  8. While Preheating:
    1. Spray 2 9″ cake pans well with cooking spray.
    2. Pour the cake mix into the 2 9″ cake pans.
  9. Once Preheating is complete. Using potholders, place one cake pan with blended mix onto the silicone baking ring. You will have to briefly move the raised rack out of the way.
  10. Place the raised rack for the NuWave Primo Grill Oven over the first cake pan.
  11. Place the 2nd cake pan with blended mix onto the raised rack.
  12. Cover with the NuWave Primo Power Dome and Power Head.
  13. Press the Start/Pause button.
  14. Allow the cook to complete.
    (The lower cake pan mix may rise into the raised rack during the cook. This should not create any issues overall.)
  15. Remove the cake pans and test with a toothpick, that it comes out clean.
  16. Allow the cakes to cool for about an hour.
  17. Ice the two cakes as a 2 layer cake.
  18. Enjoy!
