Bison Burgers (NuWave Primo Grill Oven Recipe)

Ingredients:

2.5 pounds ground bison meat
Seasoning of choice

Instructions:

  1. Mix the seasoning into the ground bison meat.
  2. Make the meat into patties and “thumb” the middle of each patty. So they don’t puff/swell during the cook.
  3. Set the Cook to 375° F., 50% Top/50%.
  4. Insert the meat probe into the Probe jack.
  5. Press the Probe button and set the desired meat temperature to 165° F.
    (Ground bison should be cooked to a minimum of 160° F.)
  6. Press the Preheat button.
  7. Press the Start/Pause button, to start the preheat.
  8. After the preheat is complete, arrange the bison burger patties on the Grill Plate.
  9. Insert the meat probe into one of the patties.
  10. Cover with the NuWave Primo Power Dome and Power Head.
  11. Press the Start/Pause button, to start the cook.
  12. Allow the cook to run until the meat reaches about 135° F.
  13. Press the Start/Pause button, to pause the cook.
  14. Remove the meat probe from the patty it is in.
  15. Flip the bison burger patties.
  16. Place the meat probe back into one of the patties.
  17. Cover with the NuWave Primo Power Dome and Power Head.
  18. Press the Start/Pause button, to continue the cook.
  19. Allow the cook to complete.
  20. Enjoy!

Note: The total cooking time is about 10 minutes.
