Beef Short Ribs (NuWave Oven Recipe)

Ingredients:

Beef Short Ribs, 1 Beef Rib Plate, aka Short Rib Plate
Hickory Smoked Salt
Ground Black Pepper
(Beef Rub of choice if not using Salt & Pepper)
Beef Broth

 

Instructions:

  1. The Night Before the Cook:
    1. Cover the Beef Ribs with Smoked Salt and Pepper, or Rub of choice.
    2. Place in a large pan, cover and place in the refrigerator overnight.
  2. The next day, bring the beef ribs out of the refrigerator, to rest about 1 hour at room temperature.
  3. Place the Beef Short Ribs on the 1″ Rack in the NuWave Oven.
  4. Cook at Power Level 6 (P60) 250° F. for 1 hour.  (Optional: You may want to use the Extender Ring, it will take longer to cook, but make the Beef Short Ribs more tender.)
  5. Flip the Beef Ribs.  And spritz with Beef Broth.
  6. Continue to cook at Power Level 6 (P60) 250° F. for 1 hour.
  7. Check the meat temperature, if it’s near or above 180° F., they are nearly done.
  8. Flip the Beef Ribs.  And spritz with Beef Broth.
  9. If the meat temperature is near or above 180° F., cook at Power Level 6 (P60) 250° F. for 30 minutes.  Otherwise cook at Power Level 6 (P60) 250° F. for 1 hour.
  10. Check whether the meat temperature is at 195° F.
  11. Cook until 195° F. temperature is reached.  Continue flipping and spritzing as needed while cooking.
  12. Allow the meat to rest for 30 minutes.
  13. Enjoy.
