2 tablespoons raw honey
4 tablespoons butter
5 – 6 cups water (5 cups for amaranth, 6 cups for oats)
Instructions:
- Add the amaranth or oats to the combi pot.
- Add the cinnamon, and mix the cinnamon in, for even distribution.
- Add the honey
- Add the water
- Put the butter in, it can be together in the middle of the pot.
- Put the pot into the cooker, and close the door.
- Flip the switch on top of the cooker to Combi Cook.
- Set cooker to Steam, 25 minutes cooking time.
- Press Start, to begin the cooking process.
- The cooker will preheat and then start counting down time, with everything inside from the start.
- After the cook time is complete. Do not turn the cooker off.
- Remove the pot and stir the contents. Let it rest outside the cooker on a heat resistant surface like a stove top, for about 5 minutes. To absorb the remaining water.
- While the pot is resting, close the cooker’s door. The display should show “Dry”. Press Start.
- Once the dry process starts, 3 minutes will show on the display.
- Use the time up button, to increase the dry time to 8 – 9 minutes. You can stop the dry process earlier if you desire, but it will take longer than the default 3 minutes.
- If the dry time runs out, and you still see water on the metal inside. You have to do the following:
- Put the pot back into the cooker.
- Set the cooker to Steam and cook time to 1 minute.
- Press Start.
- The cooker should still be hot from earlier drying, so it should start counting down time, without a preheat.
- Once the time runs out, remove the pot, and follow the dry instructions above again.
- Enjoy!
